Does Medium Favor Personal Stories over Business Advice?

--

I have had this question for a long time now.

As a Business Owner, Strategic Marketer, and Writer, I wear different hats at different times of the day.

I have Four work-in-progress books, Two Fiction, One Non-Fiction, and a children’s storybook.

I also run two companies and am currently Building a retail Brand.

And not just that, I also write Poems occasionally, and I have published my poetic anthology already.

So if you see, there are soo many things I do, and I am totally against having different accounts for different personas of mine. Especially since I am building a personal brand here on Medium, and I would love to share stories of How every element comes in, in the progress of Entrepreneurship.

It isn’t just a hodge podge. Because of too many things involved, people get this impression quite easily.

So with the intro being given, I started medium way back before even introducing the payment option; at that time, I was using it more like a personal journal. Sharing some of the incredible moments and just using it as a jotpad.

Later on, when I realized its business potential, I started using Medium to generate leads and talk about my business.

At this point, I have honestly been lazy and ended up not being consistent. Thereby I wouldn’t blame the platform for not taking off. It was my laziness. Ufff!

But today, as I write this here, I have a series of questions in my mind.

> Can I write about Multiple topics on Medium?

> Can I write about more than just my business or give people advice?

> Can I blog on Medium? Like, share everyday lessons?

> Should I share my journey with takeaways for people rather than share about my day, which would spark interest?

> Should I write about myself as a person or as a writer, or as an Entrepreneur?

And much more!

So with so many questions with me, today, I am starting my consistent Medium Journey and actually figuring out the answers or myself.

With too much internet lately, one thing I have realized is this:

There is no right or wrong. What works for everyone might not work for you. But what you have now — is a Superpower. A Super power of curiosity, the laptop, the internet connection, the coziness of the business you have built. And most importantly — the passion and creativity that leads me through life.

So here, today, I am getting started to use my curiosity to the fullest and gracing your Medium Feed with content not limited to:

  • My Business Experience as an Entrepreneur running 2 companies and helping my Dad with his.
  • My Marketing Experiences as a Strategic Marketer & Global Consultant.
  • My Sales Experience as an International High Ticket Sales Closer.
  • My Writing Experience as a published author with 4 work-in-progress Books.
  • My Entrepreneurial experience as an amateur Retail Brand Owner building her first real B2C Brand.
  • My Personal Experiences as a 24y/o Life Searching Inquisitive Nomad Wandering through different passions.
  • My Creative Experience as a Happy Person exploring every inch of Passion life has to offer at this point in time.
  • My soul awakening Moments of realizations that I have throughout the day.

And most interestingly,

  • My perspective on the underlying web of emotions and the human psyche drives people across varied domains of Business, Art, Passions, Behavior, Relationship, and their day-to-day activities.

After all, what makes a Human — HUMAN is his emotions. So what’s the deal if you aren’t ready to know more about it? Isn’t it?

So join me on this journey of 1 Piece of write-up — every single day to discover, deploy and dwell on the amazing life we are bestowed with!

Much Love, $NM ❤
