It does not start with Prospecting. Yes! Closing a sale or finalizing a purchase does not start with reaching out to a prospect.
It starts with identifying the right Prospect! If you are reaching out to the right prospect, if you had done your homework right — then chances are, your conversion rates are gonna be naturally higher.
What happens when your target audience is wrong — it is just like a dog barking at the wrong door!
Next comes, prospecting — From your imaginary audience — pick out the right audience who will be your right pick — keep a checklist of all the qualifications that they have to have — in order to qualify as your prospect.
Now connect with them! Have a compelling reason — FOR THEM to connect with you! Let that not be as lame as, getting you a sale — let it be as huge as solving a problem for them. That is when your relationship with them will be on a retainer basis and you will be able to strike a deal with them.
Once you know, they are your right prospect — Pitch the offer to them. Make your pitch highly product-centric and solution-oriented. Do not make the offer sound too normal or too salesy. Either of it is not going to get you deals!
The beauty lies in Negotiation & Follow Up. Sometimes, what matters to you might not be a very concrete sense for them.
Negotiate and alter the necessities based on requirements. This will take you a long way.
Once your negotiation is done, follow up. The more you follow up without being pushy — you close a sale, the faster than you always can. Do that! Follow up and close a sale!
Through a series of steps are involved, closing a sale has always been easier than it sounds.
